About My Logo

My logo is a representation of the native orchid, Caladenia cucullata. This small orchid is adaptable and delicate, growing in challenging conditions such as dry forest on poor, sandy or stony soil. It expresses a spirit of growth and beauty amidst fragile, sometimes hostile environments.

The Caladeina cucullata orchid has lightly fragranced white flowers, a deeply coloured purple tip, and tall thin green stem – colours of the women’s suffrage movement.  It is commonly found through the Goldfields area of Victoria including Gariwerd National Park.

I acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation as Traditional Owners of the land on which I work. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and to Elders of all communities connected to this practice and who also work and live on this land. I acknowledge that these lands were never ceded and the effects of colonisation on land, waters and cultures is enduring.
